After my recent struggles, I have decided to give credit where credit is due and make a customer services hot and not list, based on my personal experiences and those of others close to me.  Feel free to comment and let me know if there are any you’d like adding on either side.

It amazes me how some companies do it so well and yet others make you feel as though you’re a conman for daring to complain.  A really great company makes you feel as though you’re their most important customer.

HOT! Cool companies – shop to your heart’s content

NOT! I wouldn’t trust them to organise a drinks party in a brewery. So to speak.

 Estee Lauder – Exchanged a foundation bought at Boots.  I bought the wrong shade, they sent me a brand new one out from their headquarters to save me the trip of going all the way back to Boots.  Yodel couriers – Parcel arrived a day late and no apology. Completely useless.1/12 I ordered some blinds from amazon. I have just had an email from the company sending them to say that Yodel (*eye roll*) has attempted delivery but i was out. I have been in all day.  Another example of their lack of integrity.
 Wilkinsons – I bought a tin opener online and it didn’t work.  they refunded the money and told me to chuck the old one in the bin.  PC World – An apology was like drawing blood from a stone, was not heartfelt and no phone calls were refunded.
 Maplin – Sent me replacements for some faulty remote control switches, no questions asked, no returns required.  Always deliver amazingly quickly.  Pandora - the canary wharf branch assistant was very snotty and my faulty bracelet issue is as yet unresolved.Update: bracelet fixed at my expense, no apologies, left feeling very shoddily treated.Update 12/12.  call from pandora saying that the £10 that they had originally said that it would cost for repair was now £12. On arrival at the store, was made to pay £18 for the bracelet to be returned!!Pandora customer services just tell me there’s nothing they can do because they franchise branches.  When i posted on facebook, there are many customers that have also had broken bracelets, despite them insisting that the bracelets are very secure and should last a lifetime.  Less than three months on, the bracelet is once again broken. The saga continues… also a friend of mines bracelet also broke, and she lost the bracelet and £300 of charms. shoddy product, rubbish customer service.
 Ikea – Sent regular delivery updates and called me to tell me the delivery would be there within an hour time slot on the day.  The delivery men were cheerful and friendly.  Asda grocery delivery service. Delivered my order to the wrong address.  Spent over an hour to their customer ‘service’ line and nobody picked up.  Emails were ignored.  I have never found a single person alive who has managed to get through on their telephone number.  Eventually managed to contact them using twitter but will never use them again.
 Tommee Tippee – i lost the rubbery thing that stops my sons sippy cup from leaking.  I enquired about buying a replacement and they sent me a handful for free!  The Co-Operative bank- after three bounced direct debits (which I was charged for) they announced that they were closing my account.  When I went to reclaim the charges they denied that they had charged me.
***** Wow Toys – My sons bath toy started clicking and not working properly.  they responded immediately and sent out a new toy with many apologies.  Replacement arrived the following day and with an additional gift.  They have absolutely amazed me and exceeded all expectations. *****  KGB Deals & Pineappz via KGB Deals – my Christmas fairy lights failed to arrive. After a long hard slog I got the cost reimbursed but not the postage, which was only refunded in KGB cash which I am reluctant to use because of this experience – i do not want further disappointment.
***** Mia Tui – make the best bags and bag accessories in the world, have superb customer service and always go ten miles further than you would expect.  They really make you feel like their favourite customer, even if you’ve only bought the one bag. ***** Three Rude and aggressive http://bit.ly/xWoZH2

 *****MHHosting great web hosts & very helpful*****  Marks and Spencer I changed my address on the website. It didn’t register correctly, so my order was sent to the wrong address. When I finally received a refund it was £3.50 short.  Another order seems to have also vanished to that address even though i IMMEDIATELY tried to alter the delivery address when I noticed it was wrong. MASSIVE #technologyfail .  Five days on, I have no order and no refund on the second one.
