Review: Phantasee Crazy and Halloween Lenses

With Halloween just around the corner, you may be starting to think about your outfit for the festivities.  A simple black outfit can be enhanced with appropriate accessories, some inexpensive cat ears, for example, or a witches hat from your local supermarket.  To go a little further, you could buy some face paint – a few pots will last you many years and there is plenty of design inspiration on the internet.  The finishing touch might be some special contact lenses – this will really make people look twice, and possibly even send small children running!

I was sent some Phantasee cats eyes lenses from Vision Direct to try, and below are three different looks that complement these lovely yellow eyes.  As you can see, the results are quite spectacular, and much spookier than my boring old blue eyes.

The only downside is, that the pots they come in are really hard to get into – I had to peel off some thick foil with tweezers, and I wished there had been clear instructions on ho to open them because it took me a good fifteen minutes to figure it out.  As a regular contact lens wearer, I expected them to go into my eyes easily, but it was quite tricky and required a steady hand and patience.  Once in, they initially felt a little uncomfortable, and I could see and edge where the black cats eyes pupils were.  They settled down though, but I was aware I was wearing them and quite glad to take them out again.

What do you think? They definitely enhance any Halloween look.
