…was something that got easier with time. It’s amazing what the human brain can become accustomed to when it has to. When situations turn into events that change you forever, you realise that your personal and moral limitations can be stretched beyond your wildest imagination. Twenty years ago she blushed to utter profanity and yet she drove back home at five am with pockets full of cash and bruised limbs. As she whirled round the pole she gave not a second thought to her straight-laced life back home but in the classroom she secretly smiled, and yawned, eyes laughing.
