Last week we had a lovely family holiday at a farm stay near Cromer, Norfolk.  The accommodation was super (lacking only in wifi and a decent 3g signal – oh how I missed that!).  It’s the first time I’ve been to Norfolk and it really is a fab place to go on holiday.  The farm had goats and various poultry and was a very short walk away from an amazing steam railway.  My son loves his trains, so this was a bit of a highlight for him – if it hadn’t been so expensive to go on the train I’d have taken him on it more times.  I’ve just noticed from the website that part journeys are possible, something that wasn’t made clear at the ticket office at all.

There were beaches galore, and the weather for the week ranged from absolutely glorious to a bit chilly but we only had one day of torrential rain, and we found a swimming pool (I’d avoid the one at Sheringham in the school holidays, there was a half hour queue and the poor kids are only allowed in the pool for an hour).  Dogs are banned from the mid section of the beaches but are allowed on further up and I think Shadow could have spent all day chasing his ball in and out of the surf, I think he loved it as much as the Cub and I did.

Anyway, it was so nice we want to go back next year, and here are some of our holiday snaps to show you:
