Last week brought the occasional moment of sunshine, so I finally took us all out on some more wild adventures. I love to find new places, to just park up, let everyone out of the car and let my son lead me whichever way he wants to go. We usually end up in places that I wouldn’t have thought to go, and this first set of pictures is no exception – he led me through the woods then across a main road where we found a park that I hadn’t known existed. We heard the ‘ice cream truck’ and he made me hunt it down and was chuffed as anything when we found it – I think that was his first ever mr whippy. If there is a puddle, my baby is in it, and he got his shorts, and then his replacement trousers soaking wet that day. The dog always tries to pinch sticks but remarkably, after a few ‘no Shadow, thats mine!’ comments, my dog just trotted along on his heel and left the stick alone.
One rainy day we had a spot of sunshine so between the raindrops we discovered a barley field. The crops were soft to touch, like hair, so we swished our hands over them as we walked, and my lovely son gave them a cuddle. We discovered more woods, so off he ran -with the dog and me jogging along behind.
